Contemporary New Zealand Photography / 3 - 27 June 2008
John Leech Gallery is pleased to present a captivating contemporary photography exhibition that examines the diversity of recent photography in New Zealand. The exhibition reflects how photography in this country continues to show elevated significance within our visual arts culture. Photographers in the exhibition include Laurence Aberhart, Harvey Benge, Ben Cauchi, Marti Friedlander, Alistar Gutherie, Michael Parakowhai, Fiona Partington, Peter Peryer, Patrick Reynolds, Sofia Tekela Smith, Deb Smith, Alistar Gutherie and Hamish Tocher.
The exhibition will be the first to be held in the new John Leech Gallery premises on the corner of Kitchener and Wellesley Streets (the old Gow Langsford Gallery site). Gow Langsford Gallery has relocated to 26 Lorne Street.
