John Leech Gallery is excited to present New Zealand Masters: Cotton, Goldie, Gimblett, Walters, Hotere, Woollaston, Frizzell, Angus and Wero Taroi.

Each of the artists represented in the exhibition is a master in their chosen field of art production - from Wero Taroi's masterful carving of a standing figure, and C. F. Goldie's ability to capture an almost photographic reality of his subjects, through to Max Gimblett's skill in demonstrating energy in abstract form. This exhibition allows the viewer to see examples by some of New Zealand's greatest artists.

New Zealand Masters at John Leech Gallery celebrates New Zealand's art masters from the colonial period through to today.
